Carol is mom to two children who attended Montessori preschool thru 6th grade here in Laramie. She and her husband, Chip, have attempted to adopt Montessori principles at home, and are grateful for the help they’ve received with that from teachers and other parents over the years. Carol served on faculty at UW for 15 years in the School of Pharmacy helping students to become better leaders and communicators. Now she is focusing more on her family, serving within the local community, providing leadership coaching and singing in a local trio.
Meghan has one child enrolled at MCHL and 3 children at Laramie Montessori Charter School. She fell in love with the Montessori philosophy 8 years ago and is grateful her children are being educated with such a thoughtful approach. She’s a child sexual abuse prevention advocate and enjoys music and hiking with her family.
Mark is the Director of Laramie Montessori, grades K-6 public charter school. Prior to moving to WY to step into this position, Mark served for 30 years as a Kansas public educator, serving first as a Junior High School teacher for 12 years and later as principal and superintendent—all within Kansas, his home state. Mark is early into his Montessori journey and is currently completing administrative coursework at the Montessori Education Center of the Rockies in Boulder. Mark and his wife are empty nesters (they have three adult children). He says he jumped at the chance to move to Wyoming to also enjoy the camping, hiking and “anything in the mountains and wild spaces”.
